I wish I had local leaders getting out and being good examples of healthy living!

Absolutly! He ran several marathons sub3, we will do also! You sooner and me later!😁

From Donald Davis on Fri, Feb 22, 2019 at 15:54:50 from

We will both get there soon. Do you have your next marathon or marathons already scheduled?

From Martin on Fri, Feb 22, 2019 at 15:59:19 from

Yes: I will try to lower my times at 10k and halfmarathon in this spring. In June I want to start training for Munich Marathon which is October 13th.

From Donald Davis on Fri, Feb 22, 2019 at 16:11:33 from

Fun, my next marathon is in May in the city of Ogden, Utah.

I know, it will be your great day, your training is amazing! Are ypu running any races before?

From Donald Davis on Sun, Feb 24, 2019 at 08:12:00 from

I haven't signed up for anything yet. Weather here in Idaho does not allow many races before May, and I am also a little cheap when it comes to paying for races!

From Martin on Sun, Feb 24, 2019 at 08:51:57 from

We expect 68 degrees the next days which makes it easier to train. Do you stil have a lot of snow?

How much does a race cost in US? Our big marathons cost between 60 and 100 Euros (Dollar is nearly the same). But the 10k race I ran this morning cost 7 Euros which is quite expensive here.

It has been a snowy winter here in Southeast Idaho, although it is not very uncommon either. Last winter was super warm and dry, and I got to run outside in short sleeves in January (which is HIGHLY unusual).

"Big" marathons in the US (like Boston, New York, Chicago) can be in the 200-300USD range. Very good local marathons with several thousand participants run in the same range as your races (60-100USD). Half marathons are usually 10-15USD less than the marathon on the same day.

By 7 euros, did you mean 70 euros?

From Martin on Sun, Feb 24, 2019 at 10:36:10 from

No, 7 Euros! Those are small races, the main event (10 k) had 166 participants.
